Prof. Etta is also, apart from holding several administrative positions in the University, a two-time director of both Quality Assurance and Management Information System in the Cross River University of Technology, Calabar, and currently the Director of Academic Planning (DAP), with prowess and expertise in educational foundation administration and guidance and counselling (PGDE).
A prolific advocate of societal morality, immediate past National Coordinator of SOFADONDO, a civil society organization advocating against sex for marks and marks for sex in our institutions of learning, state representative of Drug Free World Africa and National Representative of Community Watch Against Drug Abuse.
A member of several professional bodies like Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN), Genetic Society of Nigeria(GSN), Nigerian Society of Experimental Biology(NISEB), Association of Commonwealth Universities(ACU), Institute of Operational Research and Management Science of Nigeria(IORMS), Organizational Leadership and Development Network (OLDN), Genetic Society of America (GSA) to mention just a few.
A fellow of the Institute of Policy Management Development (IMPD), an Associate Fellow of the Institute of Operational Research of Nigeria (INFORN). She has received several awards and scholarships, the most recent being the TETFund 2024 IBR research grant. she is a widely traveled scientist who has attended TETFUND sponsored conferences in Edinburgh, Scotland; Washington DC, USA and Dubai, UAE presenting papers on the findings of her scientific research.
A Microsoft certified expert and an astute researcher with about 52 publications in well cross-referenced national and international scientific journals, several text books and book chapters and over 19,000 mentions in scientific articles worldwide.
A budding entrepreneur, she is the CEO of Hanny-Dave ventures, a CAC registered business outfit with several outlets and a Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) mentor.
Dr. Etta is a Jesus Lover and widowed mother of 6 adorable young adults and babies.
