Dr. (Mrs.) Victoria Iyishu

Dr. (Mrs.) Victoria Iyishu hails from Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River state Nigeria. She is currently the University Librarian of University of Cross River State, Calabar (UNICROSS). She is an experienced Librarian with over 22 years as Readers services Librarian.
She holds Ph.D, MLS, B.A(Ed),from university of Calabar, Cross River State and HND in Library and Information Science from Federal polytechnic Okoh, in Anambra State, Nigeria. Victoria is a Certified Librarian by Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).
Dr Iyishu has served as a resource person in training workshops, academic programmes and supervisor to undergraduate students in the University. She is a member of the Nigerian Library Association of Nigeria (NLA), National Association of Library and Information Science Educators (NALISE), National Association of Women Librarians, Reading Association of Nigeria (RAN) and former financial secretary of the Nigerian Library Association, Cross River State chapter.
She has served in numerous capacities, including ;

- Library Appraisal Committee

- 2015/2016 Central Appraisal Committee (CAC)

- Staff/Students Welfare Sub-Committee CRUTECH/UNICROSS Transition Committee

- Member of the National Association of St. Benedict Women (Calabar Metropolis Chapter)

- Secretary Obudu /Obanliku Community Meeting (Calabar Chapter)

She has authored many articles in reputable international (peer reviewed), and local journals and books. Dr Iyishu has over 35 scholarly publications.
Her hobbies include - reading, writing praying, listening to good music, dancing, cooking and playing volleyball.
