VC TOURS FACULTY OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES, DECRY STATE OF LABORATORIES
In continuation of her inspection of facilities in the Calabar campus of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), the new Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Francisca Bassey, has toured the Faculty of Biological Sciences, accompanied by the institution's Principal Officers.
Addressing staff of the Faculty, Prof. Bassey, heartily applauded the commitment and sacrifices they have inputted into the system, despite their deplorable working conditions. The Ag. VC, who was not only hoping on the Visitor's support to meet the needs of Staff and Students, said she was counting on the assurances of His Excellency, the Governor, Prince Bassey Edet Otu.
While being conducted round to inspect the lecture halls, staff offices, laboratories, the zoological and botanical parks, she expressed surprise over the virtually empty laboratory halls in the Faculty, in the circumstance where some of it's departments are about to face accreditation from the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC), barely a couple of weeks ahead.
